# Assign Inbound Route to Your DIDs

**NOTE:** *This setup is only for systems on a* ***static external IP*** *or a* ***Dynamic DNS*** *style hostname.*

#### Before you start

Before you start assigning a host-based inbound route to your DID(s) you’ll need to have at least one available route. Here is the article about how to [**Configure an Inbound Route with your Preferred PoP**](/flowroute-support/docs/configure-an-inbound-route-with-your-preferred-pop).

#### Primary routes

1. Log in to [Flowroute Manage Portal](https://manage.flowroute.com/accounts/login/), and then click **DIDs**.
2. Select the DID numbers you’d like to apply the static inbound route to.
3. Click **Choose a DID Action**, and then select **Set Route**. Click the “Apply Action” button
4. The **Set Route** page appears. From the **Search for a route** drop-down list, select the desired inbound route, and then click the **Set Route** button.

**NOTE:** *The static route is applied to all of the telephone numbers you selected. If you have configured the routes correctly, your account will no longer require SIP Registration.*

#### **Failover Routes**

The process is similar. Just select the **Set Failover Route** when choosing a DID action on the **Manage your DIDs** page (step #3).
