# Self-Provision Flowroute DIDs for Messaging

> **NOTE:** By default, Flowroute Messaging is disabled on all DIDs. To enable SMS/MMS functionality, simply go to your Flowroute DIDs page and follow the steps described below.

## Enable Messaging

1. Log in to [Manage portal](https://manage.flowroute.com/accounts/dids/) and select DIDS in the menu
2. Select DID(s) on the list

5. If you approve the information, click the 'OK' button to initiate the enablement process.

## Disable Messaging

Follow the same process, only select **Disable Messaging** as a “Messaging Option.”
