An address associated with E911 is used to add an extra layer of information to your E911 service. The address associated with E911 allows your location to be more accurately pinpointed based on the provided address information. You can set as many addresses as you need, each identified by a reference label you set for the address. The public-safety access point (PSAP) can then use this information in the event of an emergency to help locate you if you are unable to respond.
Any 911 calls through an account that has an E911 address on record assigned to a DID will be connected at no cost and will remain that way.
IMPORTANT: A 911 request without an E911 address on an account DID will be billed $95 per instance (E911 Connection Fee) of each request. To avoid this charge a 911 call must be made from the account DID that has the assigned E911 profile. We highly recommend dialing 933 for testing purposes.
933 is used to test your E911 address which was previously set by the E911 service option in the Flowroute Manage Portal under the E911 section. When you dial 933 you will be connected to an automated system that will read back to you, the address you have currently on record for the number you have used as your caller ID. You can make use of this information to ensure your E911 designation is being passed to the correct location and emergency service specialists.

In the Label field, enter a label name identifying the address you are adding. For example, this might be Work or Home.
From the Address type drop-down list, select a location to more accurately pinpoint your location. For example, if you work in a building where multiple companies are based, select Floor.
In the Address type number, enter the value associated with the Address type. For example, if you selected Floor for the Address type, enter 6 for your office's location on the sixth floor.
Once you have completed the form, click Add address button. The E911 address creation section closes when the address is successfully validated. Any error messages returned indicate invalid areas of the address being added. You will be prompted to fix the error(s) before the E911 address is validated and added successfully.
