IMPORTANT: This article applies only to billing beginning July 1, 2025 and moving forward. The first enhanced statement will be available on August 1 for the month of July. This update is not retroactive, and Flowroute cannot provide enhanced statements prior to July 2025.

If you need to calculate billing statements prior to July 2025, please refer to this article regarding Legacy Monthly Billing Reconciliation.

With the transition to Flowroute’s new billing format, customers will need to adapt to several changes across the platform. This article summarizes the key changes, and demonstrates how to utilize the new consolidated billing statements offering.

You will learn about how we will provide enhanced billing statements, what changes will occur on the Manage portal, how to read the new statement format, options for parent and subaccounts, and an update to taxation on prepaid accounts.

Enhanced Billing Statements

Flowroute’s new billing format delivers a consolidated billing summary for each month with all fees and transactions compiled in one convenient and easy to read statement. Before, clients would need to calculate their own total monthly transactions across multiple sections in the Manage portal.

Content - These enhanced billing statements will provide a comprehensive summary of your charges, including Monthly Recurring Charges (MRCs), Non-Recurring Charges (NRCs), usage, taxes, and credits from top-ups. You will find these detailed statements in the new “Statements” section under “Billing” in your Manage portal.

What’s new? We have made several changes throughout the Manage portal to coincide with the addition of the “Statements” section. All taxes, surcharges, and fees will now appear on the consolidated billing statement and will no longer appear in the “Transactions” or “E911” sections. You will still be able to monitor recent usage from the Dashboard and view costs in the CDR (Call Detail Records) and Messaging Stats.

How to View Enhanced Billing Statements in the Manage Portal

The first enhanced billing statement will become available on August 1, 2025 for the month of July. You will find these detailed statements in the new “Statements” section under “Billing” in your Manage portal. Click on the relevant month to open your statement.

  • Each sub-account’s statement starts on a new page, making it easy to download the entire document in a PDF format or select specific pages.

  • Sub-accounts can generate individual consolidated billing statements by respective sub-account users. To obtain an individual statement, log in directly to that account and navigate to the Statements page.

  • Sub-account taxes are calculated based on the sub-account service address.

Changes to Taxes, Fees, and Surcharges

This update to Flowroute’s billing also introduces service address-based taxation in which Flowroute will apply taxes, fees, and surcharges per the tax laws of the governing authority associated with the account service address.

With this move to service address-based taxation, Flowroute will also apply the following changes starting July 1st, 2025:

  • The E911 Line Fee will be dropped. E911/E988 taxes will be calculated by associated governing authority.

  • The Carrier Cost Recovery Fee (CCRF) will be reduced from 15% to 3.36%.
